Comprehensive Nutrition Assessment
Includes a thorough Nutrition Assessment (review of personal information-past medical history, recent lab reports, medications/supplements, nutrition & exercise history, and personal goals), a BioImpedance Analysis, and other tests as appropriate. To conclude the session, you will be given specific advice about hydration, nutrition, and supplementation as appropriate.
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is the use of specific nutritional interventions to treat an illness, injury, or condition. MNT has two phases: (1) assessment of nutritional status, and (2) treatment, which may include diet therapy, counseling, or specialized nutritional supplementation.

Meal Programming & Menu Development
Meal programming begins with an accurate determination of energy needs (calories, protein, carbohydrates, and fats) through analysis of height, weight, age, health history, current diet, activity level, fitness goals, lifestyle, etc. or measurable data via metabolic testing (see referral services).
The Meal Plan provides an outline of appropriate portion sizes of each food group at each meal and snack to meet calorie, carbohydrate, protein, and fat goals. Includes FirstLine Therapy therapeutic lifestyle patient guidebook.
To accompany the prescribed meal plan, the development of three sample daily menus will be conducted in the session. It provides quick, easy ideas of when and what to eat to meet 100% of individual’s nutrition goals. Menus can be individualized according to personal preferences and lifestyle.

Computerized Nutrient Analysis
A thorough, computerized analysis of a 3-day food recall including: calorie, protein, carbohydrate, fat, cholesterol, sugar, and sodium consumption, amino acids, and vitamins and minerals will be examined to assess for possible deficiencies or toxicities.
The appointment includes a complete review of the nutrient analysis report: Food Intake Record, Detailed Analysis Report, Review of Deficiencies & Excesses, and Recommendation Summary.

Nutrition Education
Knowledge Is Power! Education is an intracal part of the therapeutic coaching process as it directly impacts the behavioral modifications necessary for change. Topics for discussion are determined on an as needed basis or are incorporated into the subsequent follow-up sessions of a program.
Various topics include, but are not limited to: disease prevention or modification, ingredient terminology and label reading, grocery shopping guidelines, pre- and post-workout meals, dining out, healthy snack ideas, functional & superfoods, organic vs. conventional foods, supplementation, holiday eating, and more.
